Story from parent Beverly Harris

My son was in the first graduating class for Hillside New Tech High School (Class of 2011). The past four years provided a strong learning environment for students. Dr. William Logan (New Tech’s Principal), all teachers and staff definitely had more than one focus for the students. Being prepared for graduation from high school was only part of what this school accomplished. They also prepared students for college with project learning, independent study, honors courses and the ability to take college courses and receive college credit while in high school. I commend Dr. Logan and his staff for also keeping parents up-to-date on everything regarding students and their studies, activities, etc. Everyone was always treated with respect and students were challenged to maintain characteristics of “trust, respect and responsibility” at all times. I have nothing bad to say about Hillside New Tech High School and with a 100% graduation rate and 97% of their seniors having been accepted at a 2 or 4 year college, I believe this record speaks for itself. If I had another child, I would enroll him/her in Hillside New Tech High School without hesitation.
